  • Swinging Away: How Cricket and Baseball Connect - Opening April 16 The national game of England meets America’s National Pastime in an historic exploration of the relationship between two of the world’s most popular sports, cricket and baseball, in an exclusive American exhibition, opening April 16 at the National Baseball Hall of Fame and Museum in Cooperstown, New York. This is the first major Museum exhibition dedicated to exploring the roots of both sports and their relationship, featuring game-used equipment from historic moments in both sports, while delving into the origins, history and cultural impact each holds on its respective nations where the games are most revered.
  • Youth Baseball Week – April 18-23: Celebrate Spring Break at the Hall of Fame with interactive programs such as Connect with Louisville Slugger, which features a virtual tour of the Louisville Slugger Museum and Factory; Jackie: Cross the Line!, which tells the story of Jackie Robinson’s life through actor Gregory Gibson Kenney; Roberto: Chat with an Angel, a portrayal of Clemente by Gregory Gibson Kenney; and Effa Manley and Her Scrapbook, a program about the first woman inducted into the Hall of Fame presented by noted children’s author Audrey Vernick.
  • Salute to the World Series Champion San Francisco Giants – May 7-8: Programs and special events dedicated to the 2010 World Series Champion San Francisco Giants, including display of the Giants’ World Series trophy in the Hall of Fame’s Education Gallery.
  • One for the Books Exhibit Opening – May 27-28: Visit the Hall of Fame as we open a brand new exhibit that looks at the history of baseball records, and the stories behind them. Members are invited to a special preview and reception from 6 to 9 p.m. on Friday evening. On Saturday, the Museum will celebrate the official opening of the exhibit with exciting programs all day long.
  • Cricket Weekend – June 3-5: An Interactive weekend celebrating the newest Museum exhibit on the relationship between cricket and baseball, Swinging Away, direct from the Marylebone Cricket Club in London.
  • Hall of Fame Classic Weekend – June 18-19: Seven Hall of Famers and 20 other former major league players take to Doubleday Field for a game of legendary stars in this annual Father’s Day Weekend event. The Weekend will feature family-friendly events and a golf fundraiser for the Museum.
  • All-Star Gala – July 12: Join the excitement and entertainment as the Hall of Fame hosts the annual All-Star Game Gala. The night will include games, prizes, food, entertainment, and, of course, live coverage of the 2011 All-Star Game from Chase Field in Phoenix, Arizona.
  • Baseball Film Festival – Sept. 30-Oct. 2: We invite you to join us for our annual Baseball Film Festival. The Festival is a showcase of newly-released films of any genre with a baseball focus.
  • Character and Courage Weekend – Oct. 7-9: Held during the autumn splendor of Columbus Day Weekend in Central New York, this thematic celebration of two traits found in the Hall of Fame spirit provides programs that document sportsmanship, character and integrity.
  • The Haunted Side of Baseball – Oct. 15, 22 and 29: Visitors to the Hall of Fame on Saturdays in October can experience the mysterious side of our National Pastime through an hour-long tour exploring the ghosts, curses, and legends of baseball’s past and present. Learn about the Curse of the Bambino, the hauntings at Wrigley Field, and even some strange occurrences at the Hall of Fame itself. The “Ghosts of Baseball” tour will be offered each Saturday beginning Oct. 15 and running through Oct. 29.
  • World Series Gala – Late October (date TBD): Enjoy the excitement of the Fall Classic on the big screen at the Hall of Fame in one of our favorite annual family events. The evening is sure to entertain with refreshments, trivia, raffles, prizes and, of course, live coverage of a to-be-determined game of the 2011 World Series.
